Dr. Peter Cowden, a well-known consulting psychologist, built EDI with the purpose of providing expert advice and coaching to leaders of firms and organizations.
Early on, Dr. Cowden recognized the need for customized approaches for senior management based on their particular needs. Since then, his firm has become well known for providing top quality assessment, development, and guidance in growing and transitioning organizations. Since its founding, EDI has served over 100 clients in the past 20 years.

Dr. Peter Cowden
Founder & Managing Partner
Dr. Cowden combines a unique blend of academic training and corporate management expertise. He holds a doctorate from Harvard University and a master’s degree from Yale University. He has taught and lectured at Harvard and Yale as well as other universities, professional associations, and conferences. Dr. Cowden has authored numerous articles, which have appeared in professional journals such as the American Psychologist, Monthly Labor Review and American Journal of Psychology. He has been featured, interviewed, and quoted in numerous business and industry media including the Boston Globe, InformationWeek, Boston Business Journal, Mass High Tech and the Bloomberg Business Report.
